Something crossed my mind this morning that made me think again about life. I had a terrible emotional disturbance last nyt and the impact is still crumpling neatly deep inside me. Not only that, I fell ill too and suffered the intense near-to-death pain of gastric. Once the pain was gone, I thought everything would be fine and I could study for the exam peacefully. But yeah, it's right indeed for me that words can bring you down after all the effort and time you sacrificed to make things better. Thanx to a friend of mine for making me feel better =)

I'm stirring my way through it. Trying to fight the feelings. Trying to recognise the rights and the wrongs. I'm driving it slow n steady. With determination. But i'm exhausted. I don't want too much of something. As well as too little of something. I just want the normal one. I'm going downhill and then up and then down again... I'm trying to do my best out of it. I know things sometimes don't go the way I want them to. But i'm learning to accept. I'm learning to be patient. I'm learning to appreciate life. I'm learning to learn from mistakes. I take what people say. If it's good, I learn from it. If it's useless, then just do listen. Maybe there's something good inside. I'm just going with the flow. And I love it... =)

I drove all the way from Tutong with the food he wanted which I cooked myself. He love the food so much that he mentioned about it everyday since the Raya OPen House on last Saturday 17th October 2009. Today was the only chance for me to see him... alone.

It's still beautiful eventhough it hurts at most times. I'm going through it... in fact, we all do. It's not an empty journey. We see things outside the window as we travel. The thing is... where are we going? Where's our next stop? well yes... logically.. death is at the end of the road. That means, we actually have lots of stopss. Every second, if we're not paralysed, we do different things, see different things, feel different things and each second, things change. If ur thing doesn't, then other things do. Each change is the stop that we do. Experience. Every moment is an experience. Whether it is significant or just seeing a fly hovering across, it is still an experience.

I'm wondering where will I be in the next significant stop? How will I look like? What's my surrounding going to be. Am I gona live in the same house I've been living in at the moment? Am I gona buy a new car? Taking care of my own child or children till they graduate and get married? Is that going to happen? well, I hope so.. If yes, who's gona be my friends at that time? Am I gona make my present friends as "ohh, that's my old friend when were in Uni"... *sigh*..

I'm gona miss things happening around me at this very moment. Eventhough it hurts sometimes or most of the times.. It's still beautiful..

Talent Show 2009 audition (14th Oct 2009). Time: 10-12pm / 2pm till show finished. There were more than 20 contestants. Talents included the ability to play musical instruments, singing and also dancing!

The judges were Hanz Anuar, Juju, FakhulRazi & a lecturer from UBD (sory, i don't know his name ;p).

No.of audience = hard to breathe in the hall.

I'm wondering if I could reach beyond it. I'm still travelling and I have to believe that this is just another phase of life. Yup... it IS another phase of life.

I think, the feeling is just a random 'missingness'. I miss my own self being younger and always thought that life would end soon. Always thought that the worst experience i was experiencing at that moment was the worst ever. Didn't think I would laugh at it when I reach this age. Didn't expect that there are in fact MOREEEEE other important complicated stupid and hardly-possible-kind-of situations blocking my way.

*sigh*...

I miss being happy at almost all timesss. When I think about it, this is actually the life that I'd been wishing for when I was younger and verrry rebellious. I really wanted to lose free. And now... I'm free-er. It's difficult. I never thought it was this difficult. I have to do SOOO many things myself. I'm 21 now. No more fret.

I think I'm a bit lost right now. I really need to find myself again. I need to find that sensible reasons for things which don't work the way I want them to work. I'm a University student. I'm a graded violinist. I'm a member. I'm a friend. I'm a daughter. I'm a partner. I'm a human being. I am someone.

It's really hard to achieve balance in life. I'm weak. But I'm strong. Clynes would have problems with this contradiction. But that's me.

I'm mad at myself for being too vulnerable. I've been wasting my time thinking non-sense. Responsibilities abandoned. I don't want this. Or perhaps, this is just another phase of life. I'm sliding down the trough. And it's hard for me to climb back up the hill. I'm sick. Literally ill. Everything goes slow. Or M i the one who's going slow?

I need to watch Barbie.

Woke up late as usual for the early morning lecture. Went into class & had 4hours lecture straight. Awal pulang kami kluar. Midday, chit chat with the girlfriends.

Out to the workshop after school. Ada urusan. Went home n slept for about 2 hrs before ke tutong arah my cuz's function. Tahlil, Terawih. Ngalih~.... I just got back home around 12 lalu.

Thank god my judgemental comprehension test for my research is done. I just need to distribute copies to my participants perhaps... after raya...

I brought my debbie's assignment td k rumah my cuz & I only managed to finish analysing one text. I'm not sure how to do it thou.... =s

Ryt now, I'm printing out my notes for 2moro's semantics&pragmatics tutorial.... hmm... d Mana ku menaruh ink ku yang baru ah... cz I remember I still have boxes of them in my drawer.

I had to wake up early in the morning because IRB was gonna have a recording session at RTB for the upcoming Hari Raya. We had to be there at 10am. But i woke up late. Drove the car all the way from Tutong to Bandar at 10am. Had to singgah arh my sis d anggrek kan ambil buku bank before k RTB.

Reach RTB, I managed to record for two Raya songs only. N then i went to the hospital with Fillah to visit Rai. She was still unsconscious when we got there. Met old friends. Prayed for Rai. Then i went back to RTB.

Sungkai... cgu nora blanja d nyonya yayasan. Makanannya..... WOW! :D kanyang. N then the best thing happened: Ada surprise birthday cake for me, Qays n Rafie! =) Thanx to everyone yang bkomplot atu. Hehehe...

I was wondering how to tell my sister so not to wake me up for sahur later. They're all asleep now... my sis, the amah... everyone... except me. I dnt wanna wake people up ryt now. I dnt wana knock the amah's door coz i understand that she has to wake up early every morning and she needs the rest. I dnt wanna text my sister's phone.. karang tbangun anaknya and the husband lagi.

Went back to Keriam, Tutong on Friday. Slept over for 3 days. Felt like home again with the whole family inside the house. When I arrived there, I went inside, salam my parents and rushed to see my nini. N then, went to the back of the house and was amazed by Heri's garden work. Heri is our gardener. He turned the bushy 'parit' into a beautiful landscape... i released the cats and let them play in the garden. Hehehehe.... I love to be back home again...

My mother pull out some water plants from the parit d blakang rumah n put them in a glass bowl with a number of parit fishes.. and they have now become our new outdoor house deco.. ;p

Sory for the late update. I've been very4 busy lately and now i'm posting some of the pictures taken during the actual day of the BRIDEX Gala Night 2009 at the Empire Theatre. We were asked to be there around 2pm for sound checks. The event started at 8pm.

City Neon got the tender to organise the night's performance and was interested to show the local traditions of Brunei to the Defence leaders from around the world who wud be attending the night. For that, City Neon had chosen IRBGE, The Lively Dancers and some well-known local singers like Hanz Anuar, Putri Norizah and Sri Nazrina to perform.

To be under the management of IRBGE, we invited the UBD Drama students, a few musicians from Canang 9, Putra Irama, Gulintangan Warisan & an individual musician, a guitarist, Dino.

The rehearsal nights before the actual event were never perfect. We'd got problems with the sound system group. Some leading sounds didn't come out and the dancers, thus, had problems with us too. No music, no dance. However, it's indeed true to say " semua dugaan ada hikmahnya". We learn from mistakes. The final night was- i don't know- somehow it seemed so perfect. Everything went well. Every sound from each instrument cud be heard. No mistakes.. well maybe some minor ones, but it was ok! it was satisfying! =D.

Personally, I wud like to say thank you to everyone involved in the event. Although banyak problems and crisis and such, it was a good thing to experience. Moreover, it binds us together due to the same experience we're sharing.

6th ASEAN Air Chiefs Conference. 10-13th August 2009.

Building a Collaborative and Responsive Regional Air Power.

The performance went well except for one difficulty. It was a small enclosed area and since the 'formally informal' dinner involved chiefs from the ASEAN countries mingling around talking, we had to control our play and minimise our volume. It was really tiring... *sigh*.

Anewayss~ It was my first time being inside Tarindak. It's a VERY nice place. The view was mesmerising!! We could see the night-view of Kg Ayer through the big window of Tarindak. It looked like a big living picture.. with boats splashing through its way across.

The foods served were mostly Bruneian. Yes, there was Ambuyat...slurrrp~ =D The sambal was REALLLLY GOOD! Padas kali ahh, i likee. There was also cencaluuu! I love cencalu =D I love everything being served... I think I'm starting to crave for them ryt now.. =/

... is officially my favourite fast food at the moment. I LOVE IT! I had one yesterday, n then this afternoon with Izaa, Flo & Rahman, and apparently, I'm craving for it again RIght AbouT NOW.

I LOVE hot & spicy food. Make it xtra spicy.. Ayam Kalasan, Ayam Penyet, those with SAMBAL2an... slurp~~... As long as it's stuffed with lots & lots of different types of Chillies, it will do.

ANeWAAAyy.... After class, mE, Iza, Flo & Rahman went to McD to get something to eat. And of course, my head was already set to order that Spicy Chicken McDeluxe plus extra chilli sauce (McD chilli is very2 spicy... u do realise that don't u?? hehe). And Yeah, we ALL ordered for Spicy Chicken McDeluxe =)... so four meals. French Fries & Drink included.

Cultural Performance for Taiwanese Tourists. (5th August 2009)

Quite a big number of visitors from Taiwan are here in Brunei under a holiday package provided by the Tourism Industry. Last night, IRBGE did a cultural music performance for the fresh-from-the-airport tourists, combining the effort with Cgu Jimin and his professional dancers. The performance took place at I-Lotus Restaurant, Rimba, at around 8pm.

It was DABOMB! ;p I, myself, got a number of fans from Taiwan queing up to take pictures with me and my violin ;p I really appreciate their compliments and hope they will enjoy their time in Brunei, despite the thick haze =)

A good news to me & the L.One Group & also the fans out there! Tentang Kita no.1~! (Carta Kitani) Congratulations to L.One & Me... hehehhehe =p

Well, i'm not actually concerned about myself playing the violin for the song. I just did my best for my part.. The group sacrificed a lot & I did my best to help them walaupun sedikit jaditaaahh~ hehehe. The members semuanya baik2 & they treated me well =) I'm glad that they're now on top of the chart! =D Alhamdulillah~~~

A very well done to the L.One group =) Now that the song has taken it's place in both Carta Pelangi (No.3) & Carta Kitani (No.1), I hope you guys will maintain the best reputation & together with other local artists, make Brunei richer & proud~~ ;) Buat lagi lagu banyak2. Honestly, the song is beautiful. Lyricsnya catchy & simple. The melody is very nice. I don't wanna say anything about the violin part. err... awkward. Hehehhehe.. Btw, sory f ada kekurangan & nda puas ati. But since you're already on top! I dnt have to worry about anything anymore~ job is done~ with flying colours~! =p & I'm very2 happy for u guys ;)

Last but not least, I would like to thank my family especially my parents for the great support, allowing me to go for recording session at night & paying for my violin lessons =) I hope this news would make you proud.

First Day of School.... 3rd August 2009

The morning was suffocating... I'm not referring to the thick haze, but to the fact that i was struggling to wake up at 6am! Holiday wake-up time: 11am. For 2 months plusss, I've been hibernating & set to wake up late. Just imagine how hard it is to lift the eyelids and see the dark surrounding that tempts everyone to fall back asleep PLUS the coldness in the air makes u wana stay cuddled inside ur blankey... *sigh*

Aneway..., I was up. Managed to come into class on time hehehe... Everything went well. Except for one thing. I had a cold since last nyt. Sneezed so many times in one go. I took in medicines. Fell asleep almost immediately. Woke up at around 6am. N my nose was dry. That's a good sign which means that the medicine is effective. HOWeverrr.... it didn't stay long that way. I got it back. Got runny nose during lesson. It felt terrible.

I'm still sneezing ryt now. I'm supposed to be going to Expression this afternoon to watch a great violinist from err... outside play the violin. I PAID $3 for the entrance! N i'm not coming due to my terrible condition.... Too bad..

After class, Rahman, Me & Nana went to TAUREAN to have breakfast. The weather was hazy & it's still hazy outside....

The preview took place at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources yesterday (31st July 2009). Performers were expected to be there around 2.30pm to give a preview of show sequence in front of the authority audience for the upcoming BRIDEX Gala Dinner which will be held on the 14th August 2009 at the Empire Theatre.

Performers include IRBGE, UBD Theatre Group, Dancers and Local Singers (Putri Norizah & Sri Nazrina). The aim of this preview is to filter out the unwanted slots as well as to improve the performance of every group participating in this very big event.

3rd TESL Brunch.

For those who don't know what 'TESL' means, it actually stands for Teaching Engish as a Second Language. =) [An English course at UBD]

Since the First Year, we already had 3 Brunches, or, u can call it "Breakfast + Lunch = Brunch", including the one we just had todaayy! :)

The Brunch started around 11am onwards. More than 20 people came and i think almost everyone brought something =), including ME.

I brought a big container of Cheesy Macaroni~~, which I made myself =D, and also AN AVON BAG... FULL OF CATALOGUES... freaking the girls out pasal allowance baru kluar & some of them, i bet, are running out of $$ ryt now psl udah shopping kmarin; so ada yang ragu2 kan membali lagi ;p and also the guys (uhuk! ;p).hehe...balitah klw kan membali =)

I still stick to the one item in the catalogue that I want most. The Violin Necklace. I'm gonna get it and show it off to everyone sooon~. HEHE. well, don't worry, new catalogues are coming, and i'll get YOU ALL to buy some stuff too...heeeheeeheee~;p

P/S: Ada ku membubut kamu tu menyuruh membali. So better watch out...

But seriously, klw kan mengorder, just contact me. I'm here sleeping with the catalogues at all times.. ;) New catalogues with new stuff come once in two weeks. If you feel like buying, just ask me for recent catalogues. NO PRESSURE ya.. ;)

Enough about the catalogues, as I will be repeating the same lines: "Tuesday order, Thursday bla bla bla..." all over again everytime I meet the cousins, friends, mum, dad, sis and others =D

I'm very2 busy at the moment having seemingly endless practices, meetings and doing paper works for a big upcoming event BRIDEX (Brunei Darussalam Defence Exhibition). Irama Bahtera Entertainment Group will be performing live traditional music and theatre on the 14th of August 2009 at the Empire Theatre. Defence Leaders from all over the world will be there for the Gala Dinner.

Our Performance will be based on the traditional life of the people of Kampong Ayer and the wedding culture of Brunei Darussalam. There will be different kinds of traditional dances, professionally choreographed by the Lively Dancers and a theatre group from UBD will also be there to illustrate the ancient life of Brunei and relive the old moment on the big stage of the Empire theatre. Special lightings and live background music generate the entire scene and special high quality props and management will be provided by the City Neon Group Entertainment. Another Highlights of the evening will be the presence of local artists: Putri Norizah, Fakhrul and Norizna.

For the convenience of performers especially IRBGE and UBD Theatre Group, I, as the secretary of IRBGE for this event would like to list down the times and places for rehearsals:

3oth July 2009: City Neon [4.30pm till evening]
31st July 2009: Tourism Industry,MIPR [2.30pm]
1st or 2nd August 2009: City Neon [most probably in the evening]

Went to Tutong with my sis to visit my parents, niece and nephews. Baru jua landing arah parking, ada baby bird gulik2 dalam lungkang. Baru hatch. Ksian eh. I picked it up and tarus surfing: Emergency Baby Bird Care. =S... hehehe... So im trying my best to keep it alive.

Maman bought me a ticket to attend the Fabulous Fass Nite. The event was held di Dewan Asrama Perempuan UBD. It started at 8.15pm. It was a closed event opened only to 100 invitees.

The theme for the night was purple & black and the dress code was formal or semi-formal. Fabulous performances like modern and traditional dances, comedy theatre from the 'Kulimambang' group and musical performance by the phonemic club members and also vocal club members lit up the event and filled the hall with wowws and laughters as the performance went on.

Guests included lecturers from FASS especially the Dean (Gary Jones) and the Deputy Dean (Dr. Azam), VIP (Prince Azim) and UBD students from FASS and us (Me and Maman) who apparently got confused with our 'parent faculty' (shbie or fass), so we decided to just stay close to each other. We got a table to ourselves and AJK (nada urg kawan.... hahaha).

The night was fun pasal kami siuk sendiri and we didn't wanna be the centre of attention since we're not from FASS (kali) and kami dua gnya major TESLians... khekhe... but i really like the dinner party =) Best Dress goes to Fiqah (TESL minor). Lawa... Unfortunately, aku nda ambil her pic. Nyasal.....

Btw, Belle was there too last night performing the traditional and modern dances. To TESLians, she said she misses us. (We miss u too Belle!!) I asked her whether ada party lagi... =p she sed nantitah ia invite tani lagi. Yeeehaaa... hahaha...

Thanx to Maman pasal balikan ticket. Actually, c Maman and Aspa saja kana invite dari face book. Aspa nda dpt attend. Maman nda bdangan so he asked me to come with him. hehe.

Section cut out from the Borneo Bulletin dated 16th May 2009.

This piece caught my attention as it talks about Gulintangan Workshop held in Tutong sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. It reminds me of how Gulintangan left a valuable mark in me and built a path for me to walk towards 'one of the branches of good future'.

I joined the Interschool Gulintangan Competition which is held annually, as the main Gulintangan player representing STPRI twice in 2003 and 2004. Went to Maktab Duli and joined this competition again in 2006. Became champion twice (2003 and 2006).

Other than just competitions, Gulintangan has brought me further into joining outside activities such as playing at weddings and also meeting ASEAN representatives in Youth Camp.

Currently, I'm playing the violin and I'm one of the members of Irama Bahtera (IRB) - Gulintangan Private Business Group - performing in wedding functions almost every weekend.

Based on my previous experience, Gulintangan helps push you forward in life. Other than just making $$$, the skills of being able to play and read music in Gulintangan is another special gift to be carried down to younger generations.

All I want to say is that I strongly support the Gulintangan Workshop. I suggest the programme to be carried out in all the four districts of Brunei, especially in schools and other related institutions.

Protesters should be executed.

Yay!!! My exam sudah abis. Im quite relieved now. I slept at 2 am for the last two days bcoz Bilingualism and Performance Analysis examnya beturut (Kemarin 11/5 sama hariani 12/5). I have to admit that exam kmarin and tadi payah but duh~ mun namanya exam... hehehe. And also, nda cukup revision wlwpun d bagi seminggu revision week (biasa.... cuti exam d buatkan holiday....). But overall, aku tjawab semua soalan wlwpun nda perfect, at least I've tried my best tym exam. Hehehehe...

Now that I'm home... so... wt now? Aku blank masani. Usually, during this tym aku tdampar di katil. Usually ada2 saja kan d sibukkan malam2 ani. What am I gona do for the next three months or less of holiday?

I've been thinking pasal violin ku masani. I wana continue my music course... I have to.. I must. I can't wait for another big musical show with my beloved group (IRB). But when should I restart my violin lesson.. hmm... next month la ku start. June. Im gona buy a new violin insyaAllah f ada rezeki.

Next thing in my mind... NETBALL. Oh yes! Baru ku ingat! Kaka Diana ada text aku this morning kan bawa mainn Netball. Ive been playing with ITB team since... err... last month.. i think. Main saja2 la. I really appreciate Kaka Diana, Alai Zurin and the rest of the team pasal sudi menerima aku as one of the players... menyalat plang rasaku pasal im from UBD... but oh well... it doesn't matter coz I love playing with them. Very friendly people hehe. So anyway.... Thank you so much~~ =D I love u all~

InsyaAllah next semester, if ada slot, I wana join UBD netball team. I played with them once. Thank you to Wina, one of the UBD netball players. Without her, i'd never get the chance to play with them last tym. It was worth trying coz the first time I played with them kelurusan friendly match with MOE. Great experience.... hehe. Newayz, thanx Winaa~~ ;)

Now, to the TESLianssss.... Bila kan makan ambuyat aniii?? hhaha. Don't tell me elaun kamu abis udah... ;p And also... kpada anak2 kuu... mama sama bapa kan meliat wayang. Jgntah kamu ikut ahh?~ khekhe. Nada waaa... C Iza nda ku membawa ni. Adakah meliat wayang nda mbgtau urg. hahaha.. bah to my classmates, kalau ada apa2, bunyi2 ah~ =D

I hope holiday ani aku productive. Ryt now, aku kan enjoy dulu sampai ku kboringan... hehe. N then barutah cari kraja ;p Kpada classmatesku yang bercuti atu... bah... kurang2 kan cea barat badan. Hahahaha.... I wana see semua slim ni bulan August ah. Agree? Ok. Deal. hehe...

The Charity Bazaar was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah Outdoor Stadium, just below the main entrance (the big stair).

Looking through the Magic Window.......

It's Friday (10th April 2009), and i was lying on my bed when i captured this picture. The evening sun was shaping silhouette on the wall of my room and the view was amazing. I can't really explain the exact feeling but it was like looking through a magic window... Couldn't help believing that the wall opened itself to reveal a totally unrealistic world just behind.

I've got nothing to do (spatutnya aku mandi plang ni, tapi katilku mendistract aku... ;p sorry maman... hehehehe) and somehow my mind flew off the ground and imagined that there was really another world beyond my wall. I played with my mind around and found my heart beating so fast. Just couldn't believe that something unrealistic could move and trigger things inside me.

I just realised how much thinking can open up layers of details. Realistic and unrealistic are just two out of infinity that could be thought by the mind. And consequently, things inside the mind pull off the trigger and control the body system including the heart and obviously... the mind. Why am I writing this?

well... I'm not really sure why... I'm just opening up layers of thoughts which might not make sense to you... and to me...

The Magic Window: Sun of reality = unrealistic world = control us....

Does it make sense to you?

Jester Novelties Opening Ceremony

Rahman and I went to the Jester Novelties in Rimba. Ada Magic show iatah c maman interested ;p
We went upstairs. There were balloons everywhere. There was also a bunch of flowers at the foot of the stairs for the opening ceremony of the shop earlier in the morning (We went there in the afternoon).

When we opened the door, there were many strangers staring at us. Most of them were Chinese. We saw two clowns who were actually maman's friends tapi kami nda recognise pasal drang bbadak. Hahahaha...

It was fun! Ada clown show and ada magic show. Lawa laaa...
hehehe... and the people were very friendly. Here are some of the photos captured during the event...

7pm: went straight from ubd sports complex to my 2nd sister's house. She sed ada mkn2. I went there and my sister was stirring hot chocolate to make choco cupcakes. N, guess wat, barutah ku tclick it was Basith's birthday!! ksian ehhh.... coz his parents (my eldest sister and her husband) umrah at the moment. Iatah ksian jua tuuuuu..... umurnya masuk 3 taun. Lupa brabis ku. Neway, the night was great with parents and anak2 buah bmain, blusir and ayung sana sini.
